SOUNDTAXI provides different types of musical work:
a). Musical works wich are completely free from third-party claims or rights (e.g. by collection societies, performing rights organiations, musicians, composers, conductors, producers). These musical works which do not require any
permission from a collection society shall be labelled by SOUNDTAXI with the relevant information (“royalty free”).
For these tracks you do not have to pay any additional fees to any collection society!
Please note:
To show just "royalty free" tracks at the SOUNDTAXI website, you have to press the button "no additional fees" at the search filter.
b).Musical works registered with a collection society such as BMI, ASCAP, PRS. Musical works of
this type shall be explicitly identified by SOUNDTAXI as “registered with a collection society” by labelling these musical works with the
name of the collection society in question (e.g. GEMA, SUISA, ASCAP, PRS, BMI). Customers are to
obtain rights from the collection society in question (e.g. from GEMA for musical performing and mechanical
reproduction rights) for certain forms of use. If you require the music for domestic or international broadcast or for on hold or in-store usage then Cue Sheets must be used to clear the use of the music through the collecting agency or PRO (Performing Rights Organisation).
This makes it possible to track the music used in films and on television shows to enable composers can receive a royalty when our music is used in broadcast.
BMI, SOCAN, ASCAP: Musical works that are registered with these collection societies can be used for mechanical reproduction (e.g. DVD video, Audio book CD, Company presentation on CD/DVD, etc.) without paying any fee to any collection society!

After completion of the order you are taken to the download page, from where you can download the songs ordered immediately. On top of it you have the possibility to log in at Soundtaxi with your customer details (email address and password) to get to "your account". There you can download your purchased titles again for one year since date of purchase.

If you have selected Paypal as payment method, you will be taken to the Paypal website during the order process to conclude the order. Thereafter you are taken back to the Soundtaxi website where you are provided with the download link. If it happens that you are not taken back to the Soundtaxi website correctly, you can log in at Soundtaxi with your access details and download the songs via "your account".
First you have to log in at Soundtaxi with your customer details (email address and password). You will find "your account" as text link above the shopping cart. In "your account" your purchased titles are available for download for one year since date of purchase.
At the end of this period the possibility still exists to send the music to you again upon presentation of the invoice.
Create playlists for different projects and order directly from it. You can add comments to the tracks in your Playlist, either as a note for yourself or for your client, to whom you also can send the Playlist for coordination of your project. You can make your Playlist public or private. Public Playlists can be seen by anyone and will be found in searches. My Master-Playlist:

To assist you in deciding on a music title, it can be useful to include it beforehand in the production.
You have to register with Soundtaxi to be able to download music titles for
layout purposes.
After registration, locate the file you want to download and click the "PRICE" button. The download link is displayed at the bottom of the details page.

The quoted prices include statutory value-added tax (music downloads 7% VAT, CDs 19% VAT).
If you have registered on our website as a customer from a non-EU country, the prices are displayed without value-added tax. The same applies to registered business customers from EU member states (except Germany) with a valid VAT-ID.
The value-added tax does not apply for:
